Biosphere 2... is the first significant man-made Biosphere which houses a series of Ecological Biomes in a glass and steel framed structure. Eight people went into this sealed Biosphere ... to live for 2 years. The facility was only opened once in the two years to re-balance oxygen levels. This was the prototype structure for a sealed ecosystem balanced man-made Earth like Biosphere. It was not perfect but it was very beneficial to learn about how to live in a sealed ecological environment. The reference documents in this file go a long way to learning what a man-made sealed Biosphere is all about.
